Inspired by the success of the Marsman Drysdale Organic Farms, Inc. (MDOFI) and prompted by a growing demand for organically grown bananas, MD New Corella Agri Ventures, Inc. (MDNCAVI) came into existence in August 2000 as a two hundred eighty (-280) hectare organic farm situated in Barangays San Roque and New Sambog in the Municipality of New Corella and in Barangay Napungas of the Municipality of Asuncion, both located in the province of Davao del Norte.

MD New Corella Agri Ventures, Inc., is the biggest venture of the Marsman Drysdale Agribusiness Group (MDAG) that goes into growing organic bananas.  It had successfully secured a certification from the Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS), a certifying agency under the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of the Japanese Government.  The certification means that MDNCAVI indeed adheres to the ideals of sustainable agriculture by employing environmental-friendly farming practices.  It produces bananas using bio-pesticides developed In-House by the group’s Research and Development team.

Planting started September 2000 and harvesting follows eight months later in May 2001.

To date, MD NCAVI has three hundred nine (309) Rank and File Regular employees and five (5) Supervisors.
